About me

Hey, there! My name is Patricia Gorgi, but you can call me Patti.
I am a first generation immigrant, dog lover, avid traveler, and quite the chef (if I do say so myself).
I come from an Architecture design background. After obtaining my Bachelor of Architecture (a 5 year, pre-professional degree plan), I practiced professionally in Chicago for 3 years. In January of 2022, I decided to make a career change and I enrolled in a UX Design Career Track bootcamp through Springboard.
Since then, I have been working as a UIUX Designer in Chicago, IL.
My design philosophy
I have a dedication to leveraging ideas and conducting research to innovate and refine products and interfaces, emphasizing functionality, usability, and visual branding.

As a designer, my approach is fundamentally user-focused. I prioritize adopting the users' perspectives to comprehend their challenges and pain points, which is pivotal in crafting solutions that enhance user experience and consequently, elevate the overall product quality.

As an immigrant, I understand the importance for design to be intuitive so products can be efficiently used by people of various cultures and backgrounds.
